Hey guys, I know this is a bit late, this week has been super crazy, but I wanted to show off the latest addition to my team-

[The camera turns around to show a little Dratini sitting up, staring back at the camera.]

Say hi, Mar-Vell!

[The Dratini lets out a happy sound (a strange mix of a coo and a purr) before curling up into a ball, occasionally peaking out at the camera from behind his tail]

He hatched Thursday. I- [There's an indignant squawk and the camera turns once again to focus on a rather perturbed looking Pidgeotto]

I was getting to you! Geez. Boston evolved shortly before Mar-Vell hatched.

[The camera turns back to face Carol. She looks pretty relaxed, the most relaxed she's appeared on the network since she got here]

You know, aside from being kidnapped and brought here against my will, this place isn't too bad.

Yeah. So would mine. We used to play the games together all the time - I was better at it than him, and he was really mad because he was older.

People who are dead can come back here, though. ...That's another reason I like it better. 'Cause maybe I'll see my dad again.

My brother and I were a bit too old for pokemon when it came out, but we probably would have been about the same.

[Wow, so that's a pretty good reason to want to stay here. Dead brother and dead dad.]

That would be pretty cool. What did your dad do for a living?

You think you would've beaten him at it?

He was an architect, so he designed all kinds of cool buildings. Sometimes he'd take me and my brother to see them when they were done and there weren't people there yet. And he always had these really big drawings all over his office.

I think it would have been a 50/50 shot. We were pretty evenly matched at most of the games we played.

Wow, that's really cool. So he was really good at it?

If I got the chance to battle him now, I'd let Jason win.

Yeah he was! He was one of the best architects ever. Even the newspaper said so.

I'd probably let Stevie win too.

What was your favorite building of his? [Carol wants to, but just can't bring herself to ask the kid how his dad or brother died.]

Oh, definitely our house! ...Well, it's Mom's house now, but...

It's got lots of windows, and a backyard with a fence! It's super well-lit and nifty - I've lived there pretty much my whole life.

Did your mom get it when your dad died? [Time to see how he reacts to questions about his father...]

[He goes sad again, although for a different reason.]

No... She kept it after they got a divorce.

I lived mostly with my dad after that, though, because his new house was closer to my school.

[So this poor kid had to live through a divorce and then the death of his father? Wow. Carol feels bad for him.]

I'm sorry about your dad.

[Shaun averts his gaze from the camera.]

It was almost a year ago. It still doesn't hurt any less, but...

[Were he any older she would tell him that the hurt doesn't stop and it's best to just find a way to move on, but...he's just so young.]

I know. It seems like the hurt will never go away, but it'll get better with time. I'm sure your dad would be proud of you here.

[Shaun flinches a little at the words, but nods pitifully.]

I hope he is... I've been training hard so that he'll be proud.
