3rd flight [Video/ Action for anyone in Violet city]

Hey guys, I know this is a bit late, this week has been super crazy, but I wanted to show off the latest addition to my team-

[The camera turns around to show a little Dratini sitting up, staring back at the camera.]

Say hi, Mar-Vell!

[The Dratini lets out a happy sound (a strange mix of a coo and a purr) before curling up into a ball, occasionally peaking out at the camera from behind his tail]

He hatched Thursday. I- [There's an indignant squawk and the camera turns once again to focus on a rather perturbed looking Pidgeotto]

I was getting to you! Geez. Boston evolved shortly before Mar-Vell hatched.

[The camera turns back to face Carol. She looks pretty relaxed, the most relaxed she's appeared on the network since she got here]

You know, aside from being kidnapped and brought here against my will, this place isn't too bad.

[This place isn't too bad... that was an understatement, for Vanille. She had freedom here. But, as she looks over the two Pokemon - she can't help but let out an excited gasp.]
Wow - Mar-Vell is so cute! But so is Boston!

[Says the man with a Poochyena at his feet.]

That, and they're loyal and strong.

[She scratches the top of Boston's head. The bird leans into her touch and closes his eyes happily.]

But I've met some really good people here too. If time doesn't pass at home while we're here why not enjoy it? It's nice not having to save a city from crazy robots every other day.

[There's another squawk from off screen that roughly translates to 'Damn right I'm cute!' Carol just smiles and rolls her eyes at him.]

They are. Mar can pack quite a punch too, for just being out of his egg.

Name's Carol Danvers, by the way.

[Well hmmm. Staying here indefinitely is one of the things he feels guilty about, because he doesn't want to leave. At all. So he latches onto something else for conversation.]

Crazy robots? You mean someone creates them and uses them to attack others?

Yeah. We're lucky if it's just some under-appreciated scientist with a bone to pick and Hydra credit card. What sucks is when Doom sends his little bots out to play. They're the biggest pain because Doom keeps upgrading them after ever attack.

[Okay, she's gotten him a little lost on the account of names, because none of them ring any bells for him.]

I can see why that would be a problem.

[Most of the time, working with machines that you didn't make can be a very different experience, as you never know what the original creator did with them.] And I assume the source of trouble is never with them when they do appear, therefore making it difficult to capture him.

Yeah. Dr. Doom somehow got himself his own country. We can't go in to get him without starting an international incident, and when he does come to us it's always with diplomatic immunity, so we can't get the drop on him unless he attacks first while there. The good thing is most of these megalomaniac types always underestimate who they're trying to kill, so we always manage to get the upper hand.

It's still weird thinking that Steve and Tony haven't done any of that stuff yet. [If they're lucky their world won't have a Dr. Doom, the damn blowhard.]

[Steve and Tony? ... Ah, right. Different timelines, he supposes, or even different versions of the world. Hope hasn't heard any such occurrence before, but it's not out of the realm of possibility, because anything is possible here, considering the nature of this world.]

I keep forgetting Earth has countries with different rules. [Countries? Never had 'em.] And I imagine he does not have his army attack when he is there, and he has some form of making sure he cant be traced to the attacks despite your knowledge.

[Earth things, man. They're overly complicated.]

You'd be right. He's a pain in the ass I'm not missing.

[So he should not tell her there's a chance he may appear here, because this is in fact the Pokemon world. Got it.]

That I can understand. [Looks down to stare at the Poochyena at his feet, who is being very suspiciously quiet around the lady.]

[Oh, she knows there's a chance. She's just choosing to ignore that.

Mar-vell uncurls and inches up to Carol, climbing into her lap with a coo. Carol idely pets him.]

Is the little guy okay? [She indicates said silent Poochyena]

He's not usually this quiet around others-- most definitely not around other Pokemon.

[Nudges him under the bum.] Go on, Villiers.

[The puppy isn't moving though.]

[Mar-Vell gets up and slides over to Villers, cooing]

Is he sick?

Impossible. I checked him out earlier.

[In contrast to his reluctance to go in, Villiers takes on a playful stance with Mar-Vell, barking in an invitation to play.]

... That's how he normally is.

Huh, I wonder what was up.

I should try to find that out. He's social, like a dog, though one told me he's actually a hyena-- if I knew what that is, it would help.

They're scavengers, work in packs in a part of the world called the African Savanna. It's a hot climate with two seasons: rainy and dry. They follow bigger predators around eating their leftovers.

It's a social animal then-- which makes sense. Though this [waves at the distance Villiers is putting between himself and Carol] isn't explained.

... I wouldn't be surprised. [After all, his namesake is absolute balls with women too.]

Grouchy Pidgettos seem like a recurring theme from what I've seen...

[Maybe it's just in their nature. Hard to say.]

But, if anything, I'd think of this place as a nice, extended vacation with occasional threats to everyone's safety sprinkled in.
