[Carol isn’t pleased or impressed by your kidnapping of her, whoever you are. There is a Taillow currently flying around in the background of the shot. Carol’s ignoring that for now.]

I’m in a generous mood today, so here’s some tips to help you next time you try to capture someone and make them believe they’re part of a video game.

One: If you put in someone pretending to be my mom, make sure she at least looks like she could be my mother. [the video shifts over quickly to Mom, who is standing in the doorway whose cheerful offer of cookies is cut off by the video moving back to Carol.] Seriously? Did she have me when she was ten?

Two: The bird’s cute [As if on cue the Taillow lands on Carol’s shoulder and chirps happily] but you can’t sway me with cute animals that I assume will battle other cute animals on command.

And finally-[Carol’s face hardens. She brings the gear very close to her face as if to heighten the effect] taking my powers doesn’t cripple me. I will find you, and I will take you down. So I suggest you give me back my powers before I get any madder.

Yeah really. The group grew pretty quickly. Now we have branches of the Avengers pretty much everywhere. Too many heros to count. I hear you've only been at this Iron Man thing for a few years.

This is sort of making us sound like subway, hmm. For the record, in those few years I've pretty much assured global peace. So only a few years kind of makes it sound like I haven't been doing anything.

I mean Thanos. Earth getting caught in the middle of the Kree-Skrull conflict. The Brood and the Serpent. Not to mention all the homegrown problems that are going to pop up like Osborn, Doom and AIM. You guys just started. Trust me, in a few years you'll be wishing it was just Loki and the Chitauri.

Yeah, just scientist until they collectively decide to aggressively push global "reform" [Complete with air quotes] To be honest they're more of a nuisance than a real threat most of the time.

Weird, Loki doesn't normally work with alien species like that. Though if the Chitauri already attacked the Skrulls can't be far behind...[Carol thinks for a moment before shaking her head] Not that it matters much here.

Well no, it doesn't really matter much. But to someone who still has Pepper all alone in my world, well, all alone without me. I'm suddenly a little more concerned about aliens than I was about an hour ago.

Well I don't know if I've met anyone who has, if they have they haven't told me. But it's not impossible, I guess.

Maybe if we could find someone like that it would help us figure out how to get home. Or at least what happens when we get home. There may be a temporal displacement between here and there. You could be here years and it only seem like a day at home.

But really, getting home is at least for now, completely out of the question. Even if I did have the components, tech, and equations. What I lack is money to do the important part of funding an inter-dimensional gate.
And believe me, that's kind of a mutli-million dollar project, I know because I've already looked into it, and without the tesseract that little 'secret project' of fury's would have cost a hell of alot more.

Because if there's one thing I know about these things, I know it involves math, tech, and money. All I have right now is the math, and that's not getting us far.
