6th Flight [Video/ Action for travel buddies] [Backdated to the morning of the 4th]
[The 'gear has a strange angled shot of Carol's back that seems to indicate a rather small camera man (or electric flying squirrel). Carol's hands are on her hips]
Mar-Vell, come on, I don't want to put you back in your ball.
[The 'gear bounces a little as the shot moves to take in Carol's side. In front of her, blocking the door, is her Dragonair who only coos in response to his trainers words.]
I'm fine, I promise. Now let me out, I have to go warm up.
[Mar-Vell just coos again, refusing to move. Even through the less than quality picture it is easy to see that Carol does not look fine. Her hair is pulled back from her face, revealing paler than usual skin already slick with sweat.]

Okay. If you know me at all like you say, then when you hear this next part you should know it's bad.
You should be in bed.
[Action]
On the other she's being stupidly stubborn at the moment and not wanting to admit that she can actually get sick again.]
I'm fine, Tony; just didn't sleep well last night.
[Action]
Ever heard the phrase "Can't con a con man"? Because right now it seems twofold some kind of weight here. Because with both of you out of action, I'm in charge. Besides, Pep likes fussing over everyone.
Re: [Action]
[Carol gives him a grin]
Come on, you said you'd cheer me on.
[Action]
[He looks down at her, as she stands just beside him worrying at her paws while watching Carol.]
I never said I wouldn't be cheering. I just think, some rest, advil, and passions is in store for you right now. Well at least what passes for passions. Or doctor phil, all afternoon TV is terrible and good for when you're at...
[He gives her another appraising look.]
Death's door.
[Action]
[Carol smiles at Pepper]
I'm fine, Pep, don't worry. I've done more with worse.
[Mar-Vell coos and rubs up against Carol side.]
Honestly, I'm not at death's door.
[Action]
[Action]
I can't.
[Action]
What do you mean. Can't?
Re: [Action]
My stomach's been turning all morning.
[Action]
Yeah, that could make things a little awkward I guess. Though really, food and liquids are probably going to make you feel a little more, uh, settled or something.
Re: [Action]
You're still coming, right?
[Action]
Wait, is this a nervous thing. The not eating. Because I really didn't think you're the type.
[Action] You wanna time skip to after the tournament soon?
You want to walk to the stadium with me?
[Action] You can jump to after the match after this if you want??
But yeah, sure, I can walk with you.
[He nods and just starts walking, knowing she'll walk with him.]
[Action]
Yeah, she's a mess. Also grumpy. Very grumpy. Carol Danvers doesn't get sick. Ever.
except apparently now[Action]
Well that was. Well I'm going to go with different, seems more diplomatic. Can't, say that's a good look for you either.
[He looks around the tent with distaste, he's never enjoyed hospital like places, too much hygiene, too much order. It makes his skin crawl.]
Next time, maybe when the always squishy mortal says you look like hell. You listen to the always squishy mortal. I'm more than just a pretty face.
Redundant question, but how do you feel?
[Action]
[Carol groaned and rolled onto her side. She tried to muster the energy to glare at Tony, but only got about halfway there.]
I know, I know. You were right.
[Action]
[Tony just looks at her half strength glare with a mild look.]
Of course I am, I'm a genius, it's kind of the whole point of our being. They looking after you?
Re: [Action]
[Carol just groans]
They keep bringing me crackers to eat.
no subject
I don't class that as looking after someone. Last time I had to be in hospital... Well before Afghanistan. I had a personal nurse, with Happy bringing the burgers.
[He looks around to see whose eye he has to catch to get Carol more attention.]
no subject
[Other than eat crackers that she throws up a few minutes later.]
They called a doctor, he'll be here any minute. It's just a flu bug.

[ video ]
Thank you for your concern, but I'm fine. I've done more with worse.

Fighting in the tournament seems ill-advised. I fought in it last year, and it was rough going.
Re: [ video ]
Actually, speaking of the tournament, I really need too go.
[ video ]
I don't think you should put them back into their balls, when they're just trying to help.
I don't want to, but I need to get down to the arena so I can warm up before the tournament.
It's not my business, of course, but you kind of look like you should be resting instead of doing that.
Speaking of, I really need to go.
I really hope you do, because that could be a really bad situation for you.
[She's not done yet! Just checking if they let her go before anything else.]
Or you could stay in and not worry about what happens on the outside, when you clearly have other things to worry about.
There's nothing to worry about here. I just didn't sleep well last night and they're all freaking out about it.
[Though she's not freaking out either. Actually, you're kind of free to do whatever you want in her opinion, she'd really do the same in that situation.]
...Not that I have the powers here, but you really look more than just tired.
[Well, she's pretty sure she knows her own body. It's difficult gaging things without the enhancements she had back home, but she's sure she'd know it if she couldn't fight.]
I had a bit of an upset stomach, but it's nothing too big, just ate something that didn't agree with me.
[Coming from a girl, who knows her own body too... Well, usually anyway. After all that training she's done to stay in shape even without her powers? Yup, she's pretty confident she knows her body even without things from back home.]
Okay. [Still not completely convinced, but anyway.] I hope you feel better soon. Maybe we'll see at the tournament, since I'll be there too.
