4th Flight [Video/ Action for party members]

[It's early, but Carol doesn't mind. She's always been an early raiser, more so now that she actually has to work out to keep up her strength.

She's doing one armed pull ups on a nearby branch when her Pachirisu, Blitz, grabs her pokegear and starts filming. He's rather proud of his trainer. Look at her muscles!

Assuming she goes uninterrupted she finishes her set of 50 and falls to the ground to start push ups. It's only when she's done around 20 that she notices the electric squirrel holding the camera. Looking up she smirks (but does not stop her workout)]

Blitz, what are you doing? No one wants to watch this.

[Anyone watching will see her switch to one handed pushups so she can reach out and switch off the gear, taking it from the squirrel who then climbs up on her back to curl up between her shoulder blades.

After an hour's work the gear comes back on. She's sitting by a small pond near where they camped the night before, having just used it to wash up a bit]

Sorry about that, guys. I'm not sure how to take videos off the network yet. Apparently Blitz thought it'd be a good idea to televise my morning workout.

I've been telling Fury to issue you him a senior citizen's card. Then he can get in for cheap to see movies. Because he's in his 90's, legally he should be getting bi-annual eye exams.

[He shifts his weight from crouching to sitting on the ground.]

Well okay, not a problem I would have had to face, but I have had to go from billionaire to scraping through the week. Also become completely unknown, if it wasn't for the fact I have an unbruisable ego. I'd almost feel lonely.

[The image of Steve sitting in an optometrists chair getting an eye examination causes Carol to chuckle a little]

Yeah, but you have the power to change both of those things. I can't fly without my powers.

Well, then it's a good thing you know someone who can help you get around that... Without a gym badge.

[Carol raises an eyebrow]

Really now? What are you working on?

[arrogantalloy]

Well. No.

[Tony tosses his cloth into his wash bag, Pep tags it out to wring it out and fold it as Tony takes out his toothpaste and brush.]

Not that I couldn't suit you up, materials are just hard to come by here, annoyingly. But I could still do it. For me it's not really all that hard.

[He stares out at the water for a moment, taking a moment to miss having everything at his fingertips, and how it was impacting his creativity and increasing boredom.]

It's just going to take a little while longer here is all.

If anyone here can do it, you can. You made that thing with less, you can do this. [She nods to the arc reactor.]

And you know if you ever need a test subject I'm open for it.

[He follows her gaze to his reactor and shrugs.]

I was also in a cave with all of my own weapons. This was easy. [He taps the reactor with the tooth brush, before putting it in his mouth and brushing for a moment.] It was building the suit that was the hard part.

And no. [He shakes his head, the brush waggling in his mouth as he does.] There's only one test subject when it comes to testing tech I build, and last I saw. You're not him.

True. But you didn't even have to start with the plug-and-go model. You went straight to clean, sustainable energy. I'd say that's pretty impressive.

[Carol dips the washcloth in the water and begins wiping the morning sweat off. It'd be easier to do without the boxers and sports bra, but she's not THAT comfortable around Tony]

Well, Dad already worked out the basics. I just made it a viable option. Just like upgrading the engine on a Ford Roadster, really.

Thanks for the offer, but I know my limits, yours? Not so much. Besides, I'm used to being bruised and bleeding these days. And now that we can mark that pretty face of yours, I think we'll keep it that way. If nothing else it'll keep Steve off my back for hurting you.

[He goes back to brushing his teeth.]

Eh, Steve would get over it, but I understand you're hesitation to test on me.

[She rinses out the rag and drapes it over her leg to dry a bit while she goes for her own tooth brush.]

Do me a favor and let me know when you're about to start a test so I know to come check on you every once in a while.

[He rinses his mouth out.]

I'm sure if something happens, Pep will look for someone to help. So at least you have that assurance.

[Pep nods solemnly at Tony pointing out that she'd look for help. Because trying to not get him fiddling hasn't worked for her.]

[Carol gives Pepper a knowing nod]

Seems like you gave her a pretty appropriate name.

Yeah, well she kept following me around as a bunneary. Staring adoringly at me, it seemed to fit.

[Pep sighs, because while it was true, she finds it a little embarrassing now, despite how much she still adores her trainer.]

Glad to know you'll always have someone looking after you.

[She finishes brushing her teeth and zips up her travel bag.]

What town's next?

Yeah, it's reassuring enough.

[Washing his toothbrush, Tony hands it over to Pep for her to put away, then stretches.]

All I know is, we're ending up in Goldenrod. If there's any towns between here and there, you'll have to ask the Golden Compass when he gets back. He's the one leading this expedition, and I'm letting him.

I'd like to stop at any gyms on the way, but I guess now that Boston knows Fly we don't have to stay there until I beat the gym leaders.

Hey, how many badges do you have?

[Tony's quiet for a second]

Pepper bought me a "Happy 40th" badge on my birthday, it was kind of cute.

[That is to say, he has no gym badges.]

[She doesn't judge, just sort of raises an eyebrow]

Battling not your thing?

[arrogantalloy]

No. I battle. I just have better things to do than go to a gym. I mean, this body doesn't even come form a gym.

[He shrugs, as he stands. Pulling his shirt out of his trouser pocket to put it on. But looking at it he starts shaking out the dirt he put on it instead.]

[Raises an eyebrow at that.]

You want me to get a badge with you? Why?

[She shrugs]

Team bonding? It's not like we'd be sharing one badge, we'd just train together and do the gym around the same time. And I'd like to get to know you a bit better.

[Carol knows it's not her Tony, even if he acts like it sometimes. She wants to get to know this Tony]

Me? [He raises an eyebrow at her]

What's there to know? I'm kind of what you see on the box, here.

[Tony shrugs himself. He knows very well that there's more to him than his outward persona, but he's never been good with letting people in. Which he can 'lovingly' thank his dad for there.]

[Carol stands, stretching her back out]

I know for a fact that there's more than meets the eye when it comes to you.

[He stares at her for a long moment.]

Wow.

Never figured you for being way off base on reading people.

[He turns his attention to his shirt, it's still dirty. But now the worst is off he's more than happy to wear it. Because in all honesty, he's worn dirtier clothes and if it wasn't for the fact he would be still walking towards Goldenrod he would have worn the shirt dirt flecks and all. But with walking that involves chafing, and no one should have to deal with that.]
